Cretemix Mixed Concrete PTY Ltd, A privately owned Ready Mix Concrete Company in Durban, is proud to announce that they have adopted PinkDrive as one of their charities of choice for the remainder of 2017.
Speaking with Douglas Brown, Director of CRETEMIX, he pointed out that Cretemix has been around for many years and has grown steadily from their humble beginnings in the early 1980’s to where they are today. Consisting of 4 Ready-mix plants based in Cato Ridge, Hillcrest, Pinetown as well as Ballito. There are very few areas in the greater Durban area that we cannot deliver quality concrete at competitive rates.
As an Independent organisation who does not have the backing and budget of the larger corporate companies, Cretemix is always looking at ways to set their brand apart from the rest. Their key goals have always been quality, service, reliability and a personal touch to make a customer of ours feel part of the family.
Now we are adding more value to our package by supporting a charity like PinkDrive.
Cancer is a reality at Cretemix and so we are happy to support a cause like PinkDrive. The statistics speak for themselves, we all know someone who has been affected or a family member currently undergoing treatment. We have adopted PinkDrive as one of our charities of choice in the fight against cancer.
Cretemix has committed to a monthly donation on concrete sold from our four plants. The aim is to show that we are more than just selling concrete we are actually making a valued contribution towards the wellbeing of the population of South Africa. If you are a customer of Cretemix, you are actively assisting us to make a difference.
We have branded a number of our trucks in bright pink as well as placed PinkDrive decals on the doors. Look out for our trucks in your area and be sure to know that part of its delivery is going to a good cause.
Customers can further support the cause by texting “MIX” to 40158 and a R20.00 donation from your phone will be made (terms and conditions apply).
So what is the PinkDrive all about? Janice Benecke, Durban representative of PinkDrive, explains: PinkDrive, South Africa’s best-loved Breast Cancer Community Carer, is the indispensable, tangible breast cancer Non-Profit Company (NPC), powering South Africa’s mobile Women’s Health Mammography and Gynaecology Units. PinkDrive’s underlying message is ‘Early Detection Saves Lives’.
All PinkDrive units travel to semi-urban and urban areas around South Africa with the aim of enabling all medically uninsured access to women’s health services. These services include free education on women’s health, free mammograms, free pap smears, free clinical examinations and how to do breast self-examinations.
PinkDrive would like to take his opportunity of thanking Cretemix for going the extra mile and “adopting” us. Your support will help us to continue touching lives and spreading our message that “Early Detection Saves Lives!”.
